Dr. Hamza Almustapha is no stranger to Nigeria’s core challenges – he has lived through them, fought against them, and paid the price for his convictions. He is nationally recognized for his pivotal role in Nigeria’s security architecture during one of the most turbulent eras in the nation’s history. 
Born in Nguru, Northeast Nigeria, he hails from the Kanuri ethnic group and grew up in the conservative northern heartland, where he developed a deep sense of patriotism, discipline, and Islamic moral values. He graduated from the Nigerian Defence Academy and quickly rose through the ranks of military intelligence due to his brilliance, strategic mind, and loyalty to the nation. 

He gains national prominence as Chief Security Officer (CSO) to the late Head of State, General Sani Abacha, where he oversaw presidential security, national intelligence coordination, and critical state security operations. During this period, he became known as a highly disciplined and loyal officer who helped manage Nigeria’s internal and external threats amidst internal power tussles, civil unrest, and political instability.
